In this case, even if you bought $200 worth of Libraries a la carte while on Komplete Ultimate, it's worth just paying the $599 to upgrade to UCE if you want those libraries, because the pricing otherwise makes no sense whatsoever (not saying anyone would pay $599 for those libraries, or even want them, this is an example). If you buy the Collection before upgrading Komplete, you will pay twice as much for the same product.

If you buy a couple/few hundred worth of a'la carte between upgrades, then what you're upgrading for has to cost so much that it makes sense to throw that money away.įor example, the cross grade from Komplete Ultimate to Symphony Series - Collection costs the same as the upgrade from Komplete Ultimate to Ultimate CE. So, you must make sure you get in at the tier of Komplete where that has what you want in the bundle, because buying anything in between upgrades is going to waste - potentially, a lot of - cash. You lose that money when you upgrade to the higher Tier of Komplete. If you buy Komplete 13 and then buy Cremona Quartet for $199 or whatever, you're not going to get a discount going to Komplete Ultimate (includes Stradivari Violin) or Komplete Ultimate CE (includes the entire Quartet). Maybe Reaktor or something, but most people don't tend to buy those on their own.
The only a la carte that discounts anything is Kontakt, for your first Komplete Bundle. Important thing people have to be aware of.
